eBay Restricts Radio Equipment Listings, Exempts Ham Radio Gear
Original: eBay Restricts Listings of Radio Equipment, but Exempts Ham-Band-Only Gear
eBay has introduced restrictions on listings of radio equipment, but devices that operate only on amateur radio bands are exempt. The change, reported by the ARRL, affects sellers and buyers of transmitters and receivers, though ham-radio-only gear can continue to be traded. Radio hobbyists and amateur radio organizations are following the policy closely to understand its scope.
Why now: A major marketplace tightening rules on radio equipment directly affects the amateur radio community and second-hand gear sellers.
