Amsterdam server seized at US authorities' request over antifa allegations
Original: Seized server Autistici/Inventati (A/I) in Amsterdam for U.S. authorities
Dutch authorities have seized a server in Amsterdam operated by the activist collective Autistici/Inventati, acting on a request from United States authorities linked to antifa allegations. The collective hosts email and web services for activists and left-wing groups. The seizure has drawn criticism from digital rights and activist circles, who see it as transnational repression of online political organising.
Why now: The seizure of an activist-hosting server by US request raises press freedom and digital rights concerns.
