Dutch Police Seize Activist Server Collective Autistici/Inventati in Amsterdam
Original: Seized server Autistici/Inventati (A/I) in Amsterdam for U.S. authorities
Dutch authorities have seized a server operated by the activist collective Autistici/Inventati in Amsterdam, acting on a request from United States authorities. The seizure is reportedly linked to allegations concerning antifa. The collective provides email and hosting services to activists and political groups, so the move raises questions about digital privacy, cross-border law enforcement cooperation, and the policing of online activist infrastructure in Europe.
Why now: The seizure of activist internet infrastructure at the request of US authorities is unusual and raises press freedom and privacy concerns.
