White House ordered limits on Starshield use in Ukraine, sources say
Original: Order to limit Starshield for Ukraine came from inside White House, sources say
Reuters reports, citing unnamed sources, that an order restricting SpaceX's Starshield service for Ukraine originated inside the White House rather than with the company or the Pentagon. The claim puts the decision-making over US space-based support for Kyiv directly at the presidential level and is drawing scrutiny over how much access Ukraine has to US satellite capabilities.
Why now: The reporting suggests the White House itself is curtailing a key US capability Ukraine relies on, raising questions about the scope of American support for Kyiv.
