Zack Polanski mocks Andy Burnham's late conversions

Green politician Zack Polanski is mocking a rival, apparently Andy Burnham, saying that in ten years he will claim to have opposed current policies, just as he did with Brexit — long after it would have mattered and only once it was politically safe. Replies on Mastodon echo the criticism, questioning whether the world changes for the better through such late shifts.

Why now: Ongoing UK political rivalry and debate over politicians who change positions only after it is safe to do so.
