Thunderbird shows first look at native iPhone email app
Original: Thunderbird for iOS
Mozilla's Thunderbird project has published a first look at its native email app for iOS, currently in development for the iPhone. The announcement marks Thunderbird's expansion to mobile after years as a desktop-only client. Early reactions online are largely positive, with users welcoming a private, open-source alternative to Apple Mail and Gmail on iOS.
Why now: Thunderbird has long been desktop-only, so the arrival of a native iOS app is significant news for its user base.
