Thunderbird shows first look at native iPhone email app
Original: Thunderbird for iOS
Mozilla's Thunderbird project has published a first look at its native email app for iOS, currently in development for iPhone users. The preview gives a taste of how the open-source client will work on Apple's platform, and early reactions online are largely curious and welcoming, with many longtime Thunderbird fans eager to see the app arrive on mobile after years of being desktop-focused.
Why now: Thunderbird has long been a desktop-only email client, so a native iOS version is notable news for its user base.
