Air Force chief jokes India can't get near F-35 jets

Original: वायुसेना

Indian Air Force Chief Amar Preet Singh has drawn attention after quipping in front of a US commander that America does not even let India go near the F-35 jets. He also clarified that the United States has made no official offer to sell F-35s to India, and that no decision has been taken on acquiring Russia's Su-57 fighter. His remarks have sparked debate over India's future fighter aircraft choices.

Why now: The Air Force chief's frank remarks about US fighter jet sales come amid ongoing discussion of India's defence procurement plans.
