Modders Use AI to Port PS5 Games to PC, 80% Complete
Original: Modders Used AI to Port the PS5 to PC… It's 80% Done
A team of modders is using AI to port PlayStation 5 titles to PC, with the project reported to be roughly 80% finished. The effort would let players run PS5 games without Sony hardware, bypassing official channels. The approach has drawn wide attention, with observers debating whether Sony will respond and whether such AI-assisted ports can match native performance.
Why now: The claim that AI tools have brought an unofficial PS5-to-PC port close to completion is a striking development in emulation and console hacking.
