NATO's silence on electronic warfare in nuclear drill questioned

Original: I understand that # NATO doesn't want to reveal secret info on # ElectronicWarfare and # jamming of # GPS during the # N

NATO is keeping details about electronic warfare and GPS jamming secret during its Steadfast Noon 2026 nuclear exercise, and observers are pushing back on the secrecy. One commentator recalled a 1998 incident in Italy when a US electronic warfare aircraft on a training mission killed 20 people, arguing such risks justify public scrutiny of these operations.

Why now: Steadfast Noon nuclear drills are under way and the secrecy around electronic warfare and GPS jamming is drawing criticism and concern.
