Fresh graduate says tech degree useless in Manila job market
Original: my 4-year tech degree is completely useless in Manila (4 interviews, 0 offers) | Fresh Grad in 🇵🇭
A newly graduated tech student in the Philippines describes sending out applications after a four-year degree and coming away from four job interviews with no offers, calling her qualification effectively useless in Manila's competitive entry-level market. Her account is striking a chord with other young Filipinos facing the same gap between credentials and actual hiring, sparking debate about graduate oversupply, experience demands and the value of a tech degree locally.
Why now: Fresh graduates and jobseekers in the Philippines strongly relate to the difficulty of converting a tech degree into employment.
