Green MSP Manivannan cleared to keep working in UK after visa extension

Original: Green MSP Manivannan allowed to continue working in UK after visa extended https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/edin

Scottish Green MSP Roza (Kaukab's colleague) Manivannan will be able to continue his work at Holyrood after his UK visa was extended. The Edinburgh Greens politician had faced uncertainty over his immigration status, raising concerns about whether an elected representative could be forced to leave the country. The extension allows him to carry on serving as an MSP.

Why now: An elected politician's right to remain in the UK was in doubt, making the visa decision politically newsworthy.
