Holyrood

Stephen Flynn, the SNP's leader at Westminster, is being searched alongside reports of a gas leak on a ferry in Scotland. The incident has drawn attention amid ongoing scrutiny of Scotland's troubled ferry services, while First Minister John Swinney faced questioning from MSPs at Holyrood. Details of the leak, including the vessel involved and any injuries, remain limited in the available reporting.

Scottish Green MSP Roza (Kaukab's colleague) Manivannan will be able to continue his work at Holyrood after his UK visa was extended. The Edinburgh Greens politician had faced uncertainty over his immigration status, raising concerns about whether an elected representative could be forced to leave the country. The extension allows him to carry on serving as an MSP.
