A once-full lake has nearly vanished after a record-breaking dry summer, with only a small patch of water remaining until just days ago. Observers are highlighting the scene as a stark visual sign of drought and changing climate conditions.
Why now: Striking images of drought's tangible impact are drawing attention amid ongoing concern over record heat and water scarcity.
