Instagram-weary user returns to decentralized social media
Original: Time for a new # introduction Been offline for some time now but getting tired of Instagram again so here we are. - # un
A German union member and activist with IG Metall has returned to the fediverse after a break, introducing themselves as tired of Instagram again. They describe themselves as a coder using a MacBook M1 and a Google Pixel 7 running GrapheneOS, and a fan of free and open-source software. The post reflects a familiar pattern of users cycling away from mainstream platforms toward open alternatives.
Why now: Renewed frustration with Instagram is prompting users to reintroduce themselves on decentralized platforms.
