Trump says Iran should be allowed to 'take out' LA and San Diego
Original: Pres. Trump suggests letting Iran ‘take out’ Los Angeles and San Diego at campaign event
President Trump, speaking at a campaign event, suggested letting Iran 'take out' Los Angeles and San Diego. The remark, reported by ABC7, has drawn wide attention and criticism given its apparent reference to nuclear strikes on American cities. Commenters are debating whether the comment was a joke or a serious statement about US policy toward Iran.
Why now: A sitting president's remark about allowing a foreign adversary to attack major US cities is shocking and tied to heightened tensions over Iran's nuclear program.
