Original: Trump wants to turn his West Palm Beach golf course into the new Camp David
President Trump has proposed turning his West Palm Beach golf course into the new Camp David, according to a Washington Post report. The idea would shift the presidential retreat from the Maryland mountains to a property Trump owns in Florida, raising questions about blending the presidency with his private business interests and drawing criticism from ethics watchdogs.
Why now: The report raises concerns about a sitting president seeking to replace the official presidential retreat with his own private property.
