Israel's Katz Vows to Hunt October 7 Suspects Abroad
Original: IDF's Hamas Hitlist: Israel's Katz Vows To Hunt Gaza Terrorists Abroad Who Were Involved In Oct 7
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has pledged to pursue Hamas members abroad who were involved in the October 7 attack on Israel, effectively warning of a campaign to track down suspects outside Gaza. The vow revives comparisons with Israel's long-running practice of targeted assassinations of militants overseas, and it is drawing attention amid ongoing tensions over the Gaza war and international scrutiny of Israel's conduct.
Why now: The defence minister's threat to extend operations against Hamas figures to foreign countries has reignited debate about Israeli targeted killings abroad amid the Gaza war.
