The US Air Force has pulled all of its bomber aircraft out of RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire after commanders reportedly received new intelligence about an Iran-backed plot targeting the base. The claim is circulating widely, with some commentators framing the American presence at the base itself as part of hostilities toward Iran. There is no confirmation of the reported plot or details on how long the withdrawal will last.

Why now: Claims of a security threat to a UK airbase hosting US bombers are alarming and politically sensitive.
