ICC delays World Club Championship plans after Big Three objection
Original: ICC delays plans for World Club Championship after ‘Big Three’ object
The International Cricket Council has postponed plans for a proposed World Club Championship after opposition from cricket's 'Big Three' nations — India, Australia and England. The delay leaves the future of the global club competition uncertain, with administrators now needing to address the concerns of the sport's most influential boards before it can move forward.
Why now: The ICC's flagship new club competition has stalled because of resistance from the sport's most powerful cricket nations.
