Victor Ostrovsky, who trained for three years to become a katsa (case officer) in Israel's Mossad, wrote a memoir about his time in the intelligence service. Israel fought hard to block the book's publication, and it remains a point of discussion among readers interested in history and true crime.

Why now: Renewed reader interest in Ostrovsky's memoir, one of the most controversial Mossad exposés ever published.
