An amateur astronomer has posted a night-sky image mosaic covering the Orion Nebula complex, including Messier 42, Messier 43 (De Mairan's Nebula) and Sh2-279, also known as the Running Man Nebula. The image stacks several neighbouring nebulae into one tall field, and the observer says more views of the region are likely to follow.
