Fallow deer spotted in Hamburg's Duvenstedter Brook reserve

Visitors to the Duvenstedter Brook nature reserve near Hamburg shared photos of fallow deer taken on Sunday morning. Paths in parts of the reserve are currently closed because of the red deer rutting season, forcing walkers to take a detour. They said the extra walk was worth it for the close views of wildlife in the protected area.

Why now: The autumn deer rut has led to path closures in the reserve, drawing attention to wildlife viewing there right now.
