Apatura data centre heat reuse claims criticised in Scotland
Original: the lying arseholes from apatura are trying to say that they'll sequester the heat from their shitty data centres to fee
Developer Apatura is facing accusations of greenwashing over its plans for a data centre site in Larbert, Scotland. Critics dispute the company's claims that waste heat from the facility could be fed into district heating networks and that the site would create 500 permanent jobs, with some calling the figures misleading and even wishing for the company's liquidation.
Why now: People are debating whether data centre operators' promises of heat reuse and local jobs are genuine sustainability commitments or greenwashing.
