Top two seeds Rybakina and Sabalenka out of China Open

Original: china open

Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka, the WTA world No. 1 and No. 2, have withdrawn from the China Open in Beijing. The absence of the tour's top two players removes the biggest draws from one of the season's most prestigious events, reshuffling the draw and raising questions about their fitness and scheduling ahead of the end-of-season run.

Why now: The simultaneous withdrawal of the world's top two female tennis players from a major tournament is surprising news resonating with tennis fans worldwide.
