Mastodon users call for option to mute notification sounds
Original: Przydałaby się opcja wyłączenia dźwięku powiadomień na mastodonie... https://www. youtube.com/watch?v=hoIe0CzYBp0 # Yout
A Polish-speaking Mastodon user has complained that the decentralised social network lacks an option to turn off notification sounds, sharing a short animation to illustrate the annoyance. The remark has drawn small but sympathetic engagement from other users, who echo the frustration with Mastodon's notification settings and its ongoing differences from mainstream platforms.
Why now: Mastodon users often compare its notification settings to those of larger platforms and want more control over alerts.
