SGI warns Saskatchewan drivers as wildlife collision season peaks
Original: SGI urging drivers to watch for wildlife as collision season ramps up
Saskatchewan Government Insurance is urging drivers to watch for wildlife on provincial roads as the peak season for animal collisions gets underway. Wildlife crashes tend to spike in autumn, when animals are more active around roadways and daylight hours shrink. SGI is reminding motorists to stay alert, especially at dawn and dusk, and to scan ditches for animals approaching the road.
Why now: Autumn is the peak season for wildlife-vehicle collisions in Saskatchewan, prompting SGI to launch its annual safety warning.
