Swedish media are revisiting advice that you should never place your mobile phone on the table with the screen facing upward, warning that the risk depends on which phone you own and which settings you have enabled. The discussion covers both Samsung and iPhone models, with readers weighing whether notifications, screensaver modes and always-on displays make face-up placement a privacy concern or largely harmless.
Why now: People are reconsidering everyday phone habits after fresh attention to how always-on displays and notifications can expose private information on shared tables.
