Calls circulate to keep Android open source
Original: @ davidgerard ๐ ๐ค ๐ # keepandroidopen # opensource
Supporters of open-source software are pushing the message 'Keep Android Open', tagging technology writer David Gerard in posts accompanied by mocking and money-themed emojis. The slogan argues that Google should keep Android, technically an open-source project, genuinely open rather than restricting it. Little concrete news accompanies the phrase, and the specific trigger for the chatter is not stated in available reports.
