Germany is allocating more than €1.35 billion in new aid to Ukraine. Around €1 billion will fund joint production of jet-interceptor drones, long-range weapons, attack drones and satellite equipment, while €350 million is earmarked for the energy sector, including generators, transformer substations and related infrastructure. The package combines weapons co-production with support to keep Ukraine's power grid running.

Why now: Germany continues to be one of Ukraine's largest military and financial backers, and the emphasis on joint drone production marks a notable step in defence cooperation.
