Original: UN Official Discusses Women’s Rights, Doha Process With Taliban
A senior United Nations official has held talks with the Taliban covering women's rights and the Doha Process, the international framework for engagement with Afghanistan's rulers. The discussions come amid continued international pressure over restrictions on Afghan women and girls, including bans on education and most work. Details of the meeting and any outcomes have not yet been made public.
