Hanshin's Sakamoto credits advice from Giants star Hayato Sakamoto

Original: 坂本勇人

Hanshin infielder Sakamoto is in red-hot form at the plate, with seven home runs in an August surge, and he says the tip came from an unexpected source: Giants legend Hayato Sakamoto. The two spoke at the All-Star series, where the Giants star reportedly told him to keep asking questions, and the advice is being credited with his sudden power breakout.

Why now: The rare cross-rival mentoring story between two star players named Sakamoto is drawing attention during his hot August streak.
