Original: Show HN: AI search for every photo and every frame of video on macOS
A developer has released an open-source tool that uses AI to make every photo and every frame of video on a Mac searchable, letting users find media by content rather than filename. The project, shared on GitHub as SCM, has drawn early attention from the developer community, where people are discussing its usefulness for managing large personal media libraries and how it compares to built-in Apple photo search.
Why now: The tool was just launched and is gaining attention for offering local AI-powered search across personal media.
