A lecture is being promoted arguing that taking the Anthropocene seriously — the idea that humanity has entered a new geological epoch defined by its impact on Earth's ecosystems — requires engaging with global history. Why now: Renewed public and academic debate about the Anthropocene and humanity's role in ecological change.
