An artist has posted a new ink study of the Apple Blossom Fairy, one of Cicely Mary Barker's well-known Flower Fairies illustrations, describing it as a childhood favourite. The piece was made as a slightly late entry for Inktober, the annual October drawing challenge, and tagged with art and fairy hashtags. It has drawn a small but warm response from fellow art fans nostalgic for Barker's classic illustrations.
Why now: Inktober prompts artists to share themed drawings, reviving interest in childhood favourites like Barker's Flower Fairies.
