PM Modi urges Indians not to waste time on cheap internet
Original: PM Modi says: Don't waste time just because internet is cheap in India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has told Indians not to waste their time simply because internet access in the country is cheap. The remark, picked up widely on Indian social media, is being read as advice about using affordable data productively rather than scrolling aimlessly. India has some of the world's lowest mobile data prices, making the comment resonate with users debating screen time and digital habits.
Why now: Modi's comment strikes a chord in India, where cheap data has driven heavy smartphone use and debates about screen addiction.
