The Silent Museum, an online multimedia archive, describes itself as an examination of our present time 'as seen in the rear view mirror of a badly driven vehicle'. The project collects remnants of contemporary civilisation, framing today's culture, society and environment as material for future post-history. It is being shared in art and culture circles, with readers drawn to its unusual premise of preserving everyday traces of the present.
Why now: The project's poetic concept of archiving the present as if it were already past is resonating with people interested in art, culture and society.
