Fluisteraars tops a black metal listener's weekly chart
Original: ♫ Top 5 artists of the Last.week: Fluisteraars (44) Yellow Eyes (11) Beenkerver (9) Blood Incantation (8) Dimscûa (4). #
A metal fan has shared their most-played artists of the past week, logging 79 scrobbles on Last.fm. Dutch atmospheric black metal act Fluisteraars dominated with 44 plays, far ahead of US band Yellow Eyes (11), Beenkerver (9), Blood Incantation (8) and Dimscûa (4). The list is heavily weighted toward underground black metal, with only Blood Incantation representing the death metal side of the genre.
Why now: Music listeners regularly share weekly listening statistics, and the dominance of a niche Dutch black metal band makes the list notable to genre fans.
