A French-language commentary criticising television news coverage is circulating online. The author denounces the omnipresence of carefully selected street interviews, or micros-trottoirs, and an oversized magazine segment promoting dream holidays on a paradise island. The post ends with a blunt verdict, calling it 'a trash TV', and has drawn engagement from other French-speaking users under the television and politics tags.
Why now: Criticism of biased or low-quality French TV news formatting is resonating with viewers frustrated by media coverage of political affairs.
