MLB Gameday shows 1920 Pirates-Giants game as final score
Original: MLB Gameday: Pirates 7, Giants 8 Final Score (09/18/1920)
MLB.com's Gameday feature is listing a Pirates 7, Giants 8 final score dated September 18, 1920, a game played more than a century ago. The listing has drawn attention because Gameday normally covers current matchups, making the appearance of a box score from the 1920 season an unusual sight for baseball fans browsing the site.
Why now: A century-old box score surfacing on a live gameday scoreboard is an oddity that baseball fans find notable.
