Discussion is circulating in Spanish about how Android phones that appear powered off can remain reachable, with Bluetooth Low Energy keeping the device connected even when the screen is dark. The claimed takeaway is that users who want to be truly offline must force a genuine hardware shutdown rather than trusting the normal power-off. People are weighing the privacy and security implications of this behavior.
Why now: Concern over smartphone privacy, since phones thought to be off can still be trackable or reachable.
