Spanish Air Force picks Airbus A321 for spy plane role
Original: The Spanish Air Force selects the Airbus A321 as a SIGINT spy plane and potential AEW aircraft https:// lemmy.ca/post/71
The Spanish Air Force has selected the Airbus A321 as the platform for its new signals intelligence aircraft, with the jet also under consideration for airborne early warning duties. The move makes Spain one of the latest European countries to base military surveillance capabilities on a commercial Airbus airframe rather than alternatives.
Why now: Interest in European defence procurement and growing investment in military surveillance capabilities across NATO members
