Ken Paxton's estranged wife backs his Senate bid without naming him
Original: Ken Paxton’s estranged wife urges voters to back his Senate bid, yet avoids mentioning him by name
Angela Paxton, the estranged wife of Texas Senator Ken Paxton, has publicly urged voters to support his Senate campaign while pointedly avoiding mentioning him by name. The unusual statement is drawing attention because of the couple's ongoing separation, leaving observers to parse whether the endorsement is genuine support or an obligatory political gesture amid their personal fallout.
Why now: The awkward contrast between endorsing her estranged husband's campaign and refusing to name him makes the story attention-grabbing.
