Australian security agencies are investigating the time a Flydubai co-pilot spent in Australia, following allegations that he attacked colleagues in the cockpit. The Guardian reports the inquiry is examining the man's background and activities while living in the country. Flydubai has not been reported as making a detailed public statement on the case.
Why now: Security concerns over an airline crew member with alleged violent behaviour prompt scrutiny of Australia's vetting of foreign-trained pilots.
