Brewers pitcher Ashby turns heads with athletic pop-up catch

Original: Pitchers being athletes! (OK, just Ashby catching a weak pop-up, but it counts.) # Brewers # Padres # MLB

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Ashby drew attention for an athletic play against the San Diego Padres, catching a weak pop-up near the mound. Baseball fans are celebrating the moment as an example of pitchers showing off their fielding skills, with the playful caveat that the play, while routine, still counts as a highlight-worthy defensive effort in an MLB game.

Why now: Fans enjoy highlighting defensive athleticism from pitchers, a position not typically known for fielding highlights.
