Original: FG To Establish Quarterly Govt-CSO Policy Dialogue Forum
Nigeria's Federal Government says it will establish a quarterly policy dialogue forum bringing together government officials and civil society organisations. The initiative is intended to create a regular channel for consultation between the state and civil society on policy matters. Few details have been released so far about the forum's mandate, membership or when the first meeting will take place.
Why now: The announcement is new and signals a formal shift in how the Nigerian government engages civil society, prompting interest in its practical impact.
