New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani rode the subway with Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin, playing bingo and attempting 'splitting the G', an Irish pub tradition of drinking a Guinness to the halfway line. The lighthearted meeting between the two leaders, captured on video shared by Mamdani, drew attention for its informal, friendly tone during the Irish leader's visit to New York.
Why now: The unusually casual display of camaraderie between a US city mayor and a foreign head of government is charming viewers.
