What The 'EAC' Mark On Your Electronics Means
Original: What The 'EAC' On Your Electronics Actually Means
Electronics sold in Russia and several other Eurasian countries carry a small 'EAC' marking, short for Eurasian Conformity. The symbol shows a product has been tested and certified as meeting the technical safety standards of the Eurasian Economic Union, which includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. Products without the mark may not legally be sold in those markets.
Why now: Shoppers often notice the unfamiliar certification symbol on their devices and want to know what it stands for.
