Moldova summons Russian envoy after drones, Chisinau airport evacuated again
Original: Головні новини дня: ☄️ Молдова викликала посла РФ після дронів, а в Кишиневі другий день поспіль евакуювали аеропорт ☄️
Moldova has summoned the Russian ambassador after drones entered its airspace, while Chisinau airport was evacuated for a second consecutive day. The moves mark a sharp escalation in tensions between Moldova and Russia amid the war in neighbouring Ukraine. Separately, President Zelensky said Ukraine would close this year's budget deficit by the end of the year and gave new details about the delayed 'Vivaldi' defence project.
Why now: Drone incidents dragging Moldova into the war and repeated airport evacuations are alarming developments for a country on NATO's eastern flank.
