A German hobbyist has turned the request 'Dad needs Wi-Fi in the garden' into a mobile Wi-Fi repeater nicknamed Breitband-Berta. The homemade device combines a spare GL.iNet travel router, a 30,000-mAh power bank and a Pringles can, making it fully portable and battery-operated for outdoor use.

Why now: People enjoy practical DIY tech hacks, and the humorous build from everyday spare parts is shareable in home networking communities.
